Research Abstract

本研究は、リステリア菌等の細胞内に寄生・増殖する細菌である細胞内寄生細菌に対する宿主の側の生体防御機構における、細胞内異物認識分子であるPGRP-LEの機能解析が目的である。本研究により、PGRP-LEが宿主細胞内においてリステリア菌の侵入を認識し、宿主の抵抗性に働くこと、また、PGRP-LEによる認識によって、新規の自然免疫経路によりオートファジーが誘導され、リステリア菌が排除されることを明らかにした。これらの成果をNature Immunology誌に発表した。
