Research Abstract |
高脂血漿が引きがねとなる動脈硬化が進行する過程において、マクロファージは動脈壁に流入してくる過剰のリポタンパク質ならびに変性リポタンパク質を細胞内に取り込み泡沫化する。肥大化した泡沫細胞は動脈壁内で崩壊し、変性リポタンパク質が細胞間に放出されるにともない、粥腫が形成される、ヒト高脂血症患者血清から、泡沫細胞誘導・崩壊泡沫細胞の崩壊をひきおこす因子の同定を試みている。また、泡沫細胞崩壊機構のメカニズムがアポトーシスによることを示した。これらの成果を、原著論文Arterioscler Thromb Vasc Biol.29, 33-39(2009)、J Lipid Res.48, 1280-1292(2007)で報告した。
