| Research Abstract |
甲状腺ホルモン(サイロキシン : T4、トリヨードサイロニン : T3)とカルシトニンの甲状腺での合成と分泌は、他のステロイド標的器官と同様に、生殖腺から分泌され血行性に到達する性ステロイドによって調節されるものと信じられていた。しかし我々は今回の研究で甲状腺内に性ステロイド代謝酵素が発現することを確認し、甲状腺ホルモンが甲状腺内で合成される性ステロイドによって機能調節される可能性を見出した。
