Research Abstract |
時計遺伝子DEC1, DEC2は中枢のみでなく、末梢組織でリズムを持つ発現をしていた。これらの発現は時計遺伝子CLOCKの変異体では大きく影響を受けており、時計機構におけるCLOCKの重要性を示した。コレステロール代謝に重要な酵素であるCYP7Aの遺伝子のリズム発現は複数の時計遺伝子などの促進的あるいは抑制的調節によることが明らかとなった。またDec1遺伝子の調節機構において、ステロールに結合することで活性化されるLXRが促進的に調節していることを見いだし、分子時計機構と脂質代謝経路との関わりを明らかにした。
