Research Abstract

視床下部外側野は空腹感を作り出す場所で、MCH神経細胞もオレキシン神経細胞も空腹感をつくって摂食行動を起こす。前者は本能的、つまり全身の栄養状態に応じて活動が変化するが、後者は精神的、つまり心の状態に応じて活動が変化する。特に雌性動物はストレスに反応して摂食行動が変化し、それはオレキシン神経細胞が司っている
