Research Abstract

微小核移入法を用いて中心体の過剰複製を抑制する遺伝子の単離および機能解析を試みた。ヒト第8番染色体の短腕8q23の領域に責任遺伝子があることをつきとめ、バイオインフォマティックを駆使して3つの候補遺伝子を絞り込んだ。さらに、この3つの候補遺伝子のcDNAを順次ホスト細胞に再導入して中心体過剰複製を誘発させた結果、候補遺伝子のcDNAのひとつが中心体の過剰複製を抑制する活性を持つことを見いだした。
