Research Abstract

ヒトゲノム中において、マイクロサテライトという2~5塩基からなるDNA配列が数個から数十個繰り返された構造があり、各個人ごとにその長さの違い(多型)を示しやすいという性質をもつ。これらマイクロサテライト多型の情報を集めることによって、生物個体の遺伝的性質や系統の目印となる遺伝マーカーとして利用することができる。染色体上に遺伝マーカーを数多く設定し、連鎖地図を作成することによって、様々な遺伝的形質や疾患の原因遺伝子の位置を調べるための手がかりとすることができる。本研究ではヒト連鎖地図について高解像度化・高精度化を行った。
