Research Abstract

高転移性乳癌細胞株より単離された癌転移関連遺伝子(Mta1)の生体内での機能解析を目的として、Mta1欠損マウスの作成を行った。本マウスは、早老化に類似した表現型(低回転型骨粗鬆症、脊柱彎曲、脱毛、白内障、生殖能力低下など)を示し、短命であった。また、MTA1欠損MEFは、培養中に細胞老化を起こす傾向があった。そのためMta1は、生体および細胞をストレス抵抗性にすると考えられる。
