Research Abstract

腸管出血性大腸菌の産生する志賀毒素2(Stx2)は2種類の方法によって菌体内から、特異的に放出されることが明らかになった。一つ目の機構はstx2遺伝子が存在しているStx2ファージが特異的にファージ誘導されることによって、同調的にStx2が産生され、そのファージの容菌によってStx2も菌体外に特異的に放出される。二つ目はStx2特異的な分泌機構が存在しており、この分泌によって、Stx2が特異的に菌体外に輸送される。この過程にはStx2のBサブユニットの31番目のセリン残基が重要であった。
