Research Abstract

上皮細胞へEBウイルス(EBV)が感染することでCD40リガンド(CD40L)が発現誘導され、上皮細胞上に存在するCD40と相互作用をすることでアポトーシス回避、細胞増殖に働いていることが示された。また、このCD40シグナルを阻害すると感染細胞のアポトーシス回避、細胞増殖が抑制された。これにより、EBV感染可能な細胞の全て(上皮細胞、B,T,NK細胞)でCD40シグナルが感染細胞の標的分子となりうることが明らかとなった。
