Research Abstract

喫煙状況別の平均余命・障害なし平均余命を日本の代表的なコホートデータ(NIPPON DATA)から算出、比較した。簡易生命表法(Chiangの方法)、Sullivan 法を用い、喫煙状況別に推定した結果、男性の60歳平均余命は非喫煙群で23.8年、喫煙経験群(現在喫煙+禁煙)で21.0年と2.8年の差が、60歳障害なし平均余命では非喫煙群21.0年、喫煙経験群では19.7年で1.3年の差がみられた。この差は他の先進諸国より小さく、喫煙の年次変化、間接喫煙、肺がん死亡率の高さなどが理由として考えられた。
