Research Abstract

PPARγは脂肪分化を促進し、PPARγリガンドは、糖尿病治療薬として汎用されている。大腸はPPARγの高発現部位であるが、その機能は不明である。PPARγ大腸特異的KOマウスに、腸炎後腫瘍発生を誘導した結果、正常マウスと比較して、有意に腫瘍の発生を認めた。このことより、大腸上皮のPPARγの活性化は、腸炎後の腫瘍発生を抑制すると考えられ、今後、炎症性腸疾患患者における大腸がん発生抑制の標的となると考えられる。
