Research Abstract

心筋細胞におけるT型Ca^(2+)チャネルは自動能の形成作用の他はその機能が知られていなかった。本研究は、僅かな細胞膜電位の変化が窓電流形成膜電位に達することでT型Ca^(2+)チャネルを通過するCa^(2+)電流が細胞内Ca^(2+)過負荷を引き起こし、T型Ca^(2+)チャネルが細胞のアポトーシスの引き金として機能することを初めて明らかにした。
