Research Abstract

CB1受容体がヒト冠動脈粥腫に存在し、動脈硬化に対してCB1受容体遮断が何らかの有益性をもたらすかどうかを検討した。ヒト冠動脈粥腫、特にマクロファージに一致してCB1受容体が発現している事、冠動脈疾患患者では内因性カンナビノイドシステムが活性化している事が示された。抗肥満の治療戦略であるCB1受容体拮抗薬rimonabantは動脈硬化病変におけるマクロファージの炎症性cytokine産生を抑制し、抗動脈硬化作用を有する可能性がある事が示された。
