Research Abstract

本研究は、骨髄におけるレニン・アンジオテンシン系の動脈硬化における働きに注目した先端的研究である。動脈硬化進展過程において骨髄単球系細胞の分化・増殖が亢進するが、骨髄細胞AT1受容体は、骨髄造血系幹細胞(HSCs)および単球系前駆細胞におけるM-CSF受容体の発現調節を介してHSCsから単球系前駆細胞への分化・増殖を促進し、動脈硬化形成の進展に関与していることが明らかとなった。骨髄レニン・アンジオテンシン系を動脈硬化性疾患の治療標的とした新たな治療方法の開発に発展することが期待される。
