Research Abstract

ポドサイトにおけるfibroblast-specific protein 1(FSP1)の発現が糸球体硬化の進展に関与するか否かを検討した。腎生検組織では、FSP1陽性ポドサイト数と糸球体硬化病変の有無に関連が認められた。腎生検で結節性病変を呈する進行した糖尿病性腎症患者の尿中では、FSP1陽性ポドサイト数が有意に上昇していた。FSP1陽性ポドサイトが糸球体基底膜から剥離脱落することが、糸球体硬化病変(糖尿病性腎症では結節性病変)の出現に関与することが示唆された。
