Research Abstract

腎不全の病態進行とともにKlotho遺伝子発現、Klotho蛋白発現が低下していることを明らかとした。また、Klotho蛋白の過剰発現により酸化ストレス、ミトコンドリア機能障害を低減し、アポトーシスによる尿細管細胞脱落を抑制し、腎保護的に働くことを明らかにした。
