Research Abstract

核内受容体は関連した遺伝子群を協調して制御する転写因子で, Retinoid-X-receptor(RXR)とヘテロダイマー形成する核内受容体群は脂質および糖質代謝を制御する.我々はこれらの核内受容体群の遺伝子変異検索を行い, 同定された変異の機能解析を行った.その結果いくつもの遺伝子変異が本邦において存在し, これらが脂質および糖代謝異常症における遺伝的背景になっていること, また薬物治療においてその効果を規定する因子となっていることを解明した。
