Research Abstract

成長ホルモン分泌促進作用や摂食促進作用を持つグレリンと同一遺伝子にコードされているオベスタチン、およびグレリンのヒトにおける摂食に対する作用を明らかにすることを試みた。グレリンとオベスタチンは長期のエネルギーバランスやインスリン抵抗性に関しては相反する作用を持つことが示唆されたが、オベスタチンには急性の摂食抑制作用はないと考えられた。オクタン酸含有食物の摂取は内因性のグレリン増加を促し、やせを伴う慢性呼吸器疾患の栄養療法として有用と考えられた。
