C型ナトリウム利尿ペプチド(CNP)およびその受容体B型グアニル酸シクラーゼ(GC-B)の強力な骨伸長促進作用を、軟骨無形成症(achondroplasia : Ach)をはじめとする骨系統疾患(skeletal dysplasia)に対して応用する展開研究を推進した。
