Research Abstract |
The Wnt/LRP5 signal plays important roles in promoting bone formation in rodents and human. This study investigated the involvement of Wnt co-receptor Ryk (receptor-related tyrosine kinase) in Wnt-induced bone formation signaling in cultured osteoblastic cells. Association study between the SNPs in Wnt signal-related genes and bone mineral density (BMD) was performed in postmenopausal Japanese women.
