Research Abstract

マウスの心臓に対して行った実験より、「心房は伸展されるとANPを分泌する」という定説を補完する以下の機能が分かった。
(1)心房からのANP分泌には、血漿中Na^+濃度を感知する「濃度感受性Na^+チャネル(Na_c)」が関与している。
(2)高濃度Na^+に反応して分泌されたANPは、低下した心機能を元に戻そうとする働きを持つ。
(3)Na_cとANPは、進化の過程で水生動物が陸生動物となるのを手助けしたと考えられる。
