Research Abstract

現在, 日本国民の関心の高い生活習慣病がなぜ問題であるかというと, 心筋梗塞などの病的血栓症の原因になるからである. 病的血栓症の発症に中心的な役割を果たすのが, 血小板である. そこで, 血栓症の治療に血小板の機能を抑制する薬物(抗血小板薬)が使用される. しかし, その効果は限定的である. 血小板の機能は複雑なシグナル伝達によって制御されている. この複雑なシグナル伝達の解明は新たな抗血小板薬の候補探しに有用であることが期待される. 本研究の理念はこのようにわが国の病的血栓症治療に基礎的に貢献することである. 具体的には, どの細胞でも重要な低分子量Gタンパクとその調節因子に関する研究を進め, 低分子量Gタンパクracの下流に位置するタンパクWAVEが血小板の伸展に重要なことを明らかにし, また, 別の低分子量Gタンパクarfの調節因子GIT1のNckによる新たなリン酸化機構を明らかにするなど, 研究目的に沿った研究成果を挙げた.
