| Research Abstract |
慢性疾患の貧血の主な原因は鉄の利用障害とされる。最近、生体内の鉄を制御する重要な因子として肝臓由来のペプチドホルモンのhepcidinが見いだされた。我々は、様々な血液疾患や造血細胞移植前後における血清hepcidinおよび他の鉄代謝・造血関連因子を測定した。その結果は、これらの病態でみられる鉄代謝異常にhepcidinが重要な役割を果たしていることを示した。また、造血細胞移植における血清hepcidin値や血清フェリチン値が臨床上重要な意味を持っている可能性を示した。
