Research Abstract

骨髄異形成症候群(MDS)の発症や骨髄増殖性疾患(MPD)の白血病化に関わる遺伝子異常として、AML1遺伝子点突然変異を発見した。ヒト造血幹細胞を用いてAML1変異体の役割を解析し、MDS発症の主原因となること、MPDから白血病化していく原因となっていることを見出した。さらにAML1変異体と他の遺伝子異常を共に造血幹細胞に発現させることにより、MDS発症機構を明らかにした。
