Research Abstract

エイズや白血病は未だ人類が克服出来ない疾患であり、その治療法が開発され続けている。一方で、これら疾患の発症機構についても未だ完全に解明されていない。本研究ではこの点に迫るため、細胞レベルでどのような異常が起きるか、特に細胞内のゴルジ体という生命にとって必須の器官でどのような異常が起きるかを着目した。その結果、特にエイズ原因ウィルスであるHIV-1の病原性蛋白質Nefがゴルジ体の機能異常を引き起こす事を明らかにした。
