Research Abstract |
高病原性鳥インフルエンザH5N1ウイルス(H5N1-Flu)の感染・増殖と細胞傷害性との関係については今なお不明な点が多い。本研究では、ブタ呼吸器上皮由来の初代細胞による感染実験系を確立し、H5N1-Fluの感染試験を行った。その結果、H5N1-Fluによる細胞傷害性は(カスパーゼ依存的な)アポトーシス誘導が主たるカスケードであることを見出した。さらに、ヒト呼吸器由来の初代細胞でも上記と同様な結果が確認され、同システムがヒトにおけるH5N1ウイルス(呼吸器)感染の病原性を反映する可能性が示唆された。
