Research Abstract

パニック障害(PD)は、恐怖条件づけに関連した脳内神経回路の異常が想定され、動物実験では扁桃体でグルタミン酸(Glu)が上昇しているとの指摘もある。本研究では、超高磁場MRI装置を用い、PD患者及び正常者を対象に^1H-MRS測定を行い、扁桃体及び帯状回(恐怖の消去に関して重要な役割をもつ)におけるGlx(Glu+Glutamine)等を直接測定した。結果は、PD患者群では左扁桃体及び後部帯状回のGlxが有意に高かった。このことは、PDの上述の神経回路におけるGlu神経系異常を示唆するものと思われる。
