Research Abstract

ZDHHC8の遺伝子と統合失調症との相関解析が終了した。統合失調症とZDHHC8遺伝子は相関していなかった。しかし、統合失調症の中間表現型と考えられている探索眼球運動とZDHHC8遺伝子が相関していた。統合失調症とZDHHC8遺伝子の相関は女性の方が顕著であることが報告されている(Nature Genetics2004)。よって、上記の結果に加え、我々も性差を含めた検討を行った。その結果、従来の報告どおり、探索眼球運動とZDHHC8遺伝子の相関は女性統合失調症患者のいる家系において顕著にみられた。これにより、ZDHHC8遺伝子が統合失調症の病因と何らかのかたちで関わっている可能性が示唆された。
