Research Abstract

大分県宇佐市安心院町での認知症予防の取り組みは平成20年度で5年目を終了する。
1250名の住民の中から64名が健忘症MCIとして抽出され、ランダムに抽出された18名(予防活動群)が予防活動を行った。予防活動は認知リハ、栄養改善、有酸素運動から構成され、週に一回二組に分かれて行われた。現在まで1名の脱落者はあったが初期からの17名は活動を続けている。
平成20年度までの評価では1名がアルツハイマー病(AD)に移行し、18名中16名の記憶能力は正常化した。脳血流SPECTでは初回時と1年後の評価に比べ、前頭葉の血流低下を認めたもののADに特徴的な血流低下はみられなかた。SPECTからも長期にわたる予防活動の有用性が示された。
