Research Abstract

これまでに私たちは滑膜間葉幹細胞が増殖能、軟骨分化能において骨髄由来間葉幹細胞よりも関節構造体の再生医療により適していることを示した。間葉幹細胞を用いた再生医療の臨床応用を考慮する際に、細胞増殖の効率化・安全性は重要な課題である。細胞増殖の際に必須である血清の選択において、自己血清によって滑膜間葉幹細胞は、骨髄細胞よりよりよく確実に増殖し、通常用いられる牛由来血清を臨床応用上用いる必要性が無いことを明らかにした。またこの現象にヒト血清に含まれるPDGFαレセプターが関与することを示した。この研究は自己血清を用い滑膜間葉幹細胞による臨床応用の現実性と安全性を高めた。
