Research Abstract

変形性関節症(OA)は運動機能低下をきたし、診断と治療の進歩が期待される。我々は血管内皮増殖因子(VEGF)が修復機転である軟骨表層の滑膜性パンヌス下に高発現することを確認した。パンヌスでVEGF受容体が発現していたことから、VEGFが滑膜遊走を促進していることが示唆された。また、VEGF阻害剤は、OAで特徴的な骨棘形成を抑制したことから、変性軟骨の滑膜被覆および骨棘形成における役割が示唆された。
