Research Abstract

ヒトに近い骨代謝動態(リモデリング骨) を示す家兎に卵巣摘除を行った上に、高ホモシステイン血症を誘導することで、ヒト骨質劣化型の病態を反映する新たな動物モデルの確立が可能か否かを検討したところ、骨密度に影響を及ぼすことなく、骨の材質特性を低下させることが明らかとなった。従って、本モデルは、骨質評価ならびに治療を目指した創薬への応用に期待できる。
