Research Abstract |
オレキシンは神経ペプチドで正常な睡眠サイクルの形成、特に覚醒の維持に重要であると考えられている。オレキシンが麻酔作用にどのように関わっているかをオレキシン神経が特異的に脱落するマウスに静脈麻酔薬のミダゾラムとクロニジンを投与し、入眠・覚醒に与える影響を調べた。ミダゾラムとクロニジンともオレキシン神経欠損マウスでは入眠までの時間と覚醒までの時間が優位に延長し、両薬剤の麻酔作用にオレキシンが関与していることが明らかになった。
