| Research Abstract |
間質性膀胱炎ではウロプラキン(UP)III遺伝子のエクソン4を欠失した選択的スプライシングバリアントが重要である。この遺伝子ではエクソン4欠失部分以降のフレームシフトにより、正常には存在しないアミノ酸配列の蛋白質になる。この「異物蛋白質」に対する自己抗体の有無を調べるため、遺伝子操作により変異UPIII蛋白質を作製した。患者血清を一次抗体とし、作製された遺伝子組み換えUPIII蛋白質を試料にしたウェスタンブロットで、一部の患者血清で反応性があった。
