Research Abstract

AT motif-binding factor 1 (ATBF1) は3703アミノ酸からなる巨大タンパク質であり、23個のZinc fingerと4個のHomeodomainを持つ。ATBF1はα-fetoproteinやMybの遺伝子発現を抑制し、前立腺などにおいて癌抑制因子として働くことが知られている。今回我々は膀胱癌におけるATBF1 の発現および核細胞質移行と関連分子p21(waf1/cip1)の発現が腫瘍の悪性度と相関し、患者予後をよく反映する独立因子であることを見いだした
