| Research Abstract |
上気道好酸球増多性疾患の代表の一つである好酸球性副鼻腔炎、粘膜、ならびに従来から日本に多い好中球浸潤型副鼻腔炎粘膜、さらに重症通年性アレルギー性鼻炎粘膜中に浸潤するNKT細胞、Th1細胞、Th2細胞、および各種サイトカインの発現を検討したところ、Th1サイトカイン、Th1細胞数についてはいずれの疾患も差がなかったが、Th2サイトカイン、Th2細胞はアレルギー性鼻炎と好酸球性副鼻腔炎局所で好中球浸潤型副鼻腔炎粘膜に比較して増加がみられた。一方、好酸球性副鼻腔炎粘膜にNatural Killer (NK) T細胞の浸潤が高率に認められ、病態への関与が示された。他方、I型アレルギー疾患へのNKT細胞の関与は明らかではなかった。
