Research Abstract |
自然経過では再生しない網膜視細胞を分化誘導し、網膜機能を再生することは、現代の大きな課題の一つである。しかし、これまでの研究では、網膜細胞の中でも視細胞は誘導されにくいことが知られていた。一方、再生すべき網膜微小環境では通常とは異なった各種シグナルが活性化されている。その中で今回我々は、視細胞分化と、炎症刺激でも活性化されるNotchシグナルの関係を分子レベルで解析し、Numbが視細胞分化を許容し得ることを明らかにした。
