Research Abstract

ヘパラン硫酸プロテオグリカンの一種であるアグリン(agrin)が脳損傷部位で発現するか否かを、in situ hybridization や免疫染色を用いて検討した。アグリンmRNA は脳損傷周囲のアストロサイトで7 日目にもっとも強く発現することが判明した。免疫組織学的検討ではアストロサイトと血管周囲に発現しており、免疫電顕を用いることにより脳血管関門を形成するアストロサイトの足突起に発現していた。また、損傷部位で神経誘導物質のFGF-2 やHBGAM と共発現していた。これらのことからアグリンは損傷脳において神経回路の再生や脳血管関門の修復に関与している可能性が示唆された。
