| Research Abstract |
歯周病原因菌の口腔内、特に歯周組織への感染機構の解明を目的とし、本研究では先天性免疫機構の一つの因子である抗菌性ペプチドに着目した。歯周病原因菌や本菌の表層成分である外膜タンパクの一部はヒト由来の上皮細胞に接触することで抗菌性ペプチドの産生を誘導すること、産生した抗菌性ペプチドは細菌の細胞への付着効率に影響を及ぼすことを明らかにした。
