Research Abstract

歯科臨床で採取できる細胞を生物材料として、多孔質HAp ブロック体内で3 次元高密度培養を可能とすること、またこれらの過程を経て作製された「培養人工骨」の骨形成能を検証することが本研究の目的であった。当初細胞ソースとして表題にも掲げていたヒト歯根膜(PDL)細胞は定期的な入手が困難になってきたことから、ヒト骨膜細胞に変更して研究を遂行した。
並行する研究において、ヒト骨膜細胞シートの顕著な類骨形成能を示したが、HAp 多孔体で培養した分散骨膜細胞にも類骨形成能があることを証明できた。すなわち、近い将来の臨床応用を視野に置いた培養骨作製が、われわれの培養プロトコールによって確立された。
