Research Abstract

X連鎖性低リン血症くる病(XLH) の疾患モデル動物であるHypマウスの歯におけるFGF23の分布を検討した結果、エナメル芽細胞および象牙芽細胞に発現していることがわかった。さらに, Hyp マウスの歯では、野生型マウスと比較してFGF23 mRNAの発現量が有意に多かった。XLHの原因遺伝子であるPHEX は, 主に骨芽細胞や象牙芽細胞に発現し, FGF23の発現を負に制御すると考えられている。今回の結果からFGF 23 は骨ばかりでなく歯にも発現しており, さらに, Hypマウスにおいて過剰に発現することは上記の仮説を裏付けている。
