Research Abstract

細菌と免疫系が歯周炎の発症に重要な関わりをもつことは、既に知られている。しかし実際の関与の様式は明らかでなかった。本研究では免疫系細胞のうちT細胞に焦点を合わせ、細菌由来のリポ多糖(LPS)誘導型骨吸収におけるその関与を検討した。その結果、T細胞は単独(B細胞不在下)でもLPS誘導型骨吸収に促進的に働くこと、さらに感作された個体のT細胞は骨吸収局所において、その促進作用を発揮していることを明らかにした。
