Research Abstract

ロタキサン分子を基盤とする新しい機能性分子設計と戦略的な合成法によるリニア分子モーターの基本動作系の構築と、新しい研究領域・分野をつくることを目的に、新規なロタキサン分子の合成とそれらの特性評価を行った。その結果、(1)クラウンエーテル-アンモニウム塩型ロタキサンの2級アンモニウム塩部位を3級アンモニウム塩へ変換する手法の開発や、(2)その3級アンモニウム塩型ロタキサンの中和反応を通して、ロタキサンコンポーネント間の運動性や相互作用の制御が可能となった。また(3)修飾シクロデキストリン型ポリロタキサンの不均一反応系を利用した戦略的合成法の開発によって、構造明確な修飾ポリロタキサンが簡便に得られるようになったため、これを利用して(4)グラフトポリロタキサンと総称した新概念の高分子を合成し、グラフト鎖と主鎖間の特異な回転特性を評価した。以上の結果から、輪成分の並進あるいは回転運動を制御できるようになり、分子モーターの基本動作系として利用できることが明らかとなった。
