Research Abstract

光化学反応過程を直接的に測定する強力な手法である光電子イメージング分光に適した深紫外超短光パルス発生装置を開発した。超短光パルスが気体中を集光されたまま伝播するフィラメンテーションという現象を使って、パルス幅を短く保ったまま、近赤外から深紫外へ効率の高い波長変換を行うことに成功した。発生された10fs程度のパルスを使って、これまでの多原子分子の光電子分光の時間分解能を一桁向上させることができた。
