Research Abstract

本研究課題では、体細胞を既知遺伝子(Oct3/4, Sox2, Klf4, c-Myc)によって初期化する技術を人に応用することを目的として掲げた。
iPS細胞の安全性を高める目的でいくつかの検討課題を設け、改善を試みた。結果として、初期化に必要な遺伝子のうち癌化の可能性となりうるc-Mycを用いずにiPS細胞を作製することに成功した。また、皮膚由来の線維芽細胞よりも肝臓や胃粘膜由来の上皮細胞の方が、容易に質の良いiPS細胞が樹立できることもわかった。
