Research Abstract

グラフィックスハードウェアの発展により、一般的なパーソナルコンピューターでも高速に3次元ボリュームデータを高速に処理できるようになってきた。医療、化学、芸術等の様々な分野で利用される3次元ボリュームデータは増加の傾向にあり、3次元ボリュームデータを対象にした形状認識技術やデータベース検索技術の需要が高まっている。3次元ボリュームデータには、コンピューターグラフィックス映像などを作成する際に用いられるソリッドテクスチャーなどがある。大量のソリッドテクスチャーからなるデータベースがあるとき、データベースの中から類似したパターンを持つデータ検索や、データの中から特定のパターンを抽出・計測することは、データベースシステムを効果的に扱うために大変重要である。本研究では、2次元テクスチャー画像解析において高い認識率を持つことで知られている高次局所自己相関特徴に抽出に使われる2次元マスク(3×3)を3次元マスク(3×3×3)に拡張するシミュレーションプログラムの作成と、3次元マスクを利用した3次元ソリッドテクスチャーの類似検索を行った。また、Lawsマスクの3次元化、フラクタル次元の算出に使われるHurst法の3次元化を行い、ソリッドテクスチャーからの形状特徴抽出を可能にした。
