Research Abstract

全前脳症の原因遺伝子であるZic2の被制御遺伝子をChIPクローニングの手法を用いて捜索し、多数の遺伝子の候補を得ている。その中でも注目すべきはTGIF(TG-interacting factor)である。TGIFはZIC2遺伝子と共に全前脳症の原因遺伝子と考えられており、Zic2の遺伝子変異マウスでもTGIFの発現を詳細に解析したところ、野生型のマウスに比べ、発現が少ないことが明らかとなった。
