Research Abstract |
虚血性神経細胞死誘導後に認められるグリオーシス(アストロサイトの活性)におけるPACAPの作用を検討した。PACAP受容体は神経損傷領域を取り囲むアストロサイトにおいて強く発現し、培養細胞を用いた実験により、PACAPはアストロサイトの増殖を促進する作用を有することが明らかになった。本研究により、PACAPがアストロサイト活性化およびグリオーシス形成機構に重要な役割を担うと考えられる。
