| Research Abstract |
動脈硬化初期における単球の血管内皮細胞への接着・浸潤機構には不明点が多い.本研究では,単球及び内皮細胞に発現する蛋白PECAM-1に着目し,その分子動態を直接観察した.単球が内皮細胞間隙を通って浸潤した後,20分程度にわたって,内皮細胞PECAM-1の浸潤スポットへの持続的な集積が認められた.この集積は,単球由来の液性因子や,単球の内皮への接着ではなく,細胞間隙を浸潤することで初めて起こった.このような集積は同一部位での慢性的な単球浸潤を促す可能性があると考えられる.
